The Welcome Service Office (WSO) was launched by The Canadian Coptic Centre (CCC) in 2001 to help newcomers with settelment in Ontario, Canada. The Canadian Coptic Centre (CCC) subsequently launched the Professional Groups to work within the frame of WSO to help newcomers with career advancement through introducing them to boards / licensing bodies in Ontario, help them to fulfil the requirements and pursue employment opportunities in their specific fields.
In addition to the services provided by WSO, the office is regularly conducting events in coordination with government organizations and other community service centers. Such events are intended to help newcomers learn about their new home, city, culture, activities, lifestyle, employment opportunities and develop the necessary skills to join the work force effectively, and serve the community.
The services provided by WSO include but not limited to: Airport, Banking, Income Tax, Career Planning, Job Search, Housing, ESL, OHIP, SIN, Drivers License , and Schools.
